Quality, free education, especially in developing countries, is a very rare thing. I have learned, through previous experiences, that knowledge (education) really is power and it has the ability to change a generation and a nation. Through Seeds of Hope, I have the privilege of once again returning to their home in Zambia, Africa to help teach their dorm students, English and to work on their computer skills. The ability to speak English fluently, along with a working knowledge of computers, will increase the students possibility of getting a good post-secondary education and, ultimately, provide a way for them to get a great paying job.
My hope and prayer is that, through being able to teach them these two skills, they will not only be able to provide a better life for themselves, but for their future families, communities and country. Education, I believe, is just one step in breaking the cycle of poverty addictions, and abuse. I know that, God has called me into this ministry for a time like now to simply be His hands and feet here on earth.
